When there is something terrible might happened toward you or your family, we will experience fears. Out of our strive to be comfortable and survive, we want to avoid anything bad happened. Fears are there to remind us that something need to be done, to avoid bad things happened.
During an intense fear moment, our heart beats faster, our brain seems running without stopping a bit to find a solution. In that moment, we can not think other things than our problems and its possible solutions.
When solutions can not easily be found, the mind get into a spiral of downward mental breakdown to desperation. If this happen in the long run, our body and mind might get permanent damages.
An option that give us an easy exit from the problem might be chosen, though it maybe not a long-term solution. Our mind need to rest and relieve.
With this in mind, the solutions that we choose might create the problem even uncontrollable.
An approach to fear and its sister, panic, given by Mingyur Rinpoche in his teachings. His advice was to bring closer fear to us by welcoming it and befriend with it. Accept the nature of reality which always changing, an impermanent to be part of us.
Instead to strive to find solutions to our problem, we try to accept all the possibilites that may occur. In this way, we calm our mind and able to utilize it better.
Furthermore, Mingyur Rinpoche taught us to trust action-reaction law in everything. In other words, try to create Karma to create a better life. Our experiences are based on our past actions, it is done, we can not change it, but the future is still in our control, by doing the best thing we can do in the present time.
To find a good idea, we can also try to create preconditions for the good idea to come
First we need to be healthy, eat, drink and sleep properly
Second, accepting our conditions
