Here’s What Actually Worked (And What Didn’t)
Have you ever wondered: after many hours of meditation and Reiki practices, will my problems just go away?
Will my life get better? Will my relationships improve?
The short answer is yes. All your problems will go away, and your life will get better.
But the long answer? The long answer is “no.”
Wait—what?
Here’s the thing: meditation and Reiki practices cannot solve all your problems by themselves. They are tools, not magic spells. And if you approach them with the wrong mindset, you’ll be stuck for years, wondering why your life isn’t changing.
I speak from experience. Ten years of experience, to be exact.
Let me explain.
The Trap I Fell Into (And You Might Be In Too)
A lot of people—including me, obviously—join meditation classes or Reiki classes with the wrong paradigm.
I joined Reiki class for a very simple reason: I wanted to get rich easily.
Back in the early 2000s, there was a New Age boom happening everywhere. Suddenly, out of nowhere, there were all these teachers offering new approaches to spirituality. New methods that I, as a Catholic, had never been taught before.
How could you not be interested when someone tells you that you can become rich easily—just with the power of your mind and visualization?
Think about it. Traditional religions often indirectly encourage poverty. They tell the masses to accept their conditions. They praise how good it is to be poor in this world because you’ll be rewarded in heaven. It’s a “suffer now, get rich later” deal.
But these new spiritual approaches were telling me something different: you can get heavenly rewards and be rich at the same time. They were telling us that as human beings, we have the capability to get what we want because we have the privilege of creativity from God.
I was captivated. Completely hooked.
I adopted that mindset as my personal credo for a decade.
The Decade of Disappointment
For ten years, I meditated every day. I practiced Reiki every day. I visualized my dreams every single day.
And the promise of getting what I wanted? It remained frustratingly out of reach.
Even worse, my life became a roller-coaster. Sometimes I’d reach a certain target, only to be devastated by unforeseen problems. One step forward, three steps back. Constantly.
Let me give you a concrete example.
I wanted to create my own business. I visualized in incredible detail how the business would operate. I could see the store layout. I could picture my customers. I could imagine the transactions. Everything was crystal clear in my mind.
But here’s what I eventually realized: the images in my mind cannot manifest by themselves.
I know, shocking revelation, right?
With my own two hands, I had to manifest it—one step at a time, one brick at a time. The visualization was just the blueprint. The real work? That was up to me.
So I finally started the business. I was excited. I was confident. This was it—the moment everything would work out.
Then I got hit by an unseen problem. A problem I never visualized. A problem I never even considered.
My product’s shelf life was too short. The goods spoiled before customers could buy them. I got complaints from customers and intermediaries. I had to close that business.
I wasn’t discouraged, though. I faithfully continued with my mindset—visualization, meditation, Reiki. I started six more businesses over the years.
Five of them failed.
Only the last one survived and became my source of income.
What Was the Difference?
So what changed? What made business number seven different from the previous six failures?
The answer is the law of interdependence.
You might know it by other names:
- The law of causality
- The law of karma
- The golden rule
- What goes around comes around
Whatever you call it, understanding this principle is what finally made the difference.
6 Lessons I Learned the Hard Way
Here are the things I wish someone had told me ten years ago:
1. Meditation and Reiki Practices Are Not Magic Wands
Yes, these practices can make your mind calm and focused. They give you a stage to think clearly about what you truly want. They help you visualize in greater detail as your mind becomes more powerful and clear.
But that’s where their power begins, not ends.
2. Visualizations Are Just Blueprints
The images in your mind are blueprints—nothing more. A blueprint doesn’t build a house. It just tells you what the house could look like.
To actually build something, you need to pick up the tools and get to work.
3. Your Energy Is Limited
To manifest your visualizations, you need energy. The closest sources are your own desire and your physical body. When you act on your desires, you take a step forward toward manifesting your dreams.
But here’s the catch: your own energy is limited.
The bigger your dream, the more energy you need. You can’t build a skyscraper with just your own two hands. You need others.
4. Learn to Bring Outside Energy to Yourself
This is where many people get stuck. They try to do everything alone. They burn out. They give up.
The truth is, you need energy from your environment and from other people. Learn how to attract that energy. Build relationships. Create networks. Make connections.
5. Taking Without Giving Creates Problems
Here’s the painful lesson I learned: when we only take energy from others and our environment without giving back, problems start arising.
Think of it like a bank account. If you keep withdrawing but never depositing, eventually the account runs dry. And when it does, people stop supporting you. Opportunities stop coming. Your luck runs out.
6. Give First, Receive Later
This is the game-changer.
It’s better to give and support others first—long before you actually need their help. Treat it like an investment. Build relationships before you need them. Help others before you ask for help.
When you do this, something magical happens. Your investments keep coming back to you, often bigger than what you gave.
Think of it like planting seeds. You don’t plant a seed and immediately expect fruit. You water it. You nurture it. You wait. And when the fruit comes, it’s abundant—more than what you planted.
How This Changed Everything
Once I understood these six principles, my last business finally survived—and thrived.
I started understanding my customers better. What did they actually need? How could I serve them?
I started understanding my investors better. What were their concerns? How could I create a win-win situation?
I started understanding my suppliers better. What challenges were they facing? How could I support them?
And you know what happened? They all started supporting me back in ways I never even realized I needed.
My customers became loyal. They recommended me to others.
My investors became partners. They trusted me with more resources.
My suppliers became allies. They gave me better terms, better products, better service.
None of this happened because of my meditation alone. None of this happened because of my visualizations alone.
It happened because I finally understood that I’m not an island. I’m part of a web. And the stronger the web, the stronger I become.
Why I’m Writing This
I’m writing this article so you don’t make the same mistake I did.
I wasted ten years thinking that meditation and Reiki alone would solve all my problems. I visualized endlessly, hoping that the universe would just deliver what I wanted.
It doesn’t work like that.
Meditation and Reiki are tools. They prepare your mind. They calm your nervous system. They give you clarity.
But they are not substitutes for action. And they are definitely not substitutes for building real, genuine relationships with the people around you.
If you understand the law of interdependence—if you understand that giving comes before receiving, that supporting others comes before asking for support—your life will change in ways you can’t even imagine.
Final Thoughts
So here’s the bottom line:
Meditation and Reiki will change your life. But not alone.
They will give you:
- A calm mind
- Clear vision
- Emotional balance
- Spiritual connection
But to manifest your dreams—to actually create the life you want—you need:
- Action (turn your blueprint into reality)
- Energy (from yourself and others)
- Relationships (that are built on giving, not taking)
- Understanding (of the interdependence of all things)
The law of interdependence is real. When you give, you receive. When you support, you get supported. When you understand others, they understand you.
That’s how you build a life that actually works. Not just in your imagination, but in the real world.
So by all means, keep meditating. Keep practicing Reiki. Keep visualizing.
Just remember: those are the beginning, not the end. And the real magic happens when you step out of your meditation and into the world—with open hands, ready to give.
